The Main dining room & Esperance Bar of the Dover hotel both offer a relaxed family environment overlooking Esperance Bay. The menu provides a selection or reasonably priced Entree's, Main Meals, Sweets and Children's meals.
The Menu features a wide selection of local produce, including fruits grown in the surrounding orchard, Seafood from the Coast and Esperance bay, as well as Tasmanian Beef, Lamb and Game. The style of food on offer is both Traditional Country Pub, with a more contemporary selection on a large Specials board.
The Dover Hotel Kitchen Staff place a strong emphasis on using only fresh ingredients prepared with care, and presented in a tidy artistic fashion. There are no shortcuts or cheaps ingredients used. Local produce which is regularly featured includes, Stone Fruits(Apples, Cherries, etc.), Crayfish, Flake(Shark), Salmon, Mussels, Oysters, Trevalla, Scallops and Stripey Trumpeter.
The Dover Hotel is by far the most popular eating venue in the Far South Region attracting a regular clientelle from locals as well as visitors from other parts of the state. The Hotels dining facility is not advertised on account of its very strong word of mouth reputation. Only in the Peak Tourist Season are you advised to make a booking to avoid disappointment.
The atmosphere is relaxed and casual. Seating is comfortable, at Handcrafted Blackwood Tables. An Espresso machine adds to the atmosphere with the aroma of freshly ground coffee.
Lunch from 12pm-2pm, Dinner 6pm-8pm
